Hot weather will persist for a few more days. The National Weather Service says peak afternoon heat index values will be in the upper 90’s to around 100 degrees.
There will be a low chance of showers and thunderstorms each afternoon today through Thursday, followed by better chances Friday into Saturday.
Forecasters say to look for a slight reprieve from the heat this weekend with highs in the middle to upper 80’s. However, indications are that the heat will return once again next week.
Today you can expect a high of 94, with a low of 69.
